My Retirement Plan

So, the girls and I headed to Maine on Friday for New Year's. We left late and so got in late. These are a few of the pictures from today. We took them at Odessa. It's kinda cheesy, but we wrote our new years resolutions and stuck them in glass bottles and through them in the water - you gotta love the cheese!

It is so cold up here, my feet were freezing, so of course, we headed for Dairy Queen to warm ourselves up!!!

Up until Thursday I was coming on my own to see Debbie, Craig and the wean. I called the girls and told them the plan, and so we all drove up together - we arrived here at silly o'clock Saturday morning. Oh the fun of driving for long periods of time in a car talking about senseless rubbish, so refreshing.

This morning was church, everyone looked so tired. It was wonderful though, such a homey wee corps - even though the Joyce's were missing - it was nice. Nice to be with family

Nice pictures. I have spent many cold New Year Days in Maine. I have had many warm welcomes from the gang in OOB.

You triggered some good memories today. I hope your trip was good. God allows us some great journeys with friends. What would we do without them.

See you when you get back.

haha Mhairi.. you are one to like a pantomime! I have many Maine memories..mostly silly ones with friends! Not when it is freezing cold though..only when it's hot :) So Mhairi when I get back, we will all (Carole, Lindsay, Stephen and Seth) have to plan something again! I have to give you all the chocolate I bought!
Happy New year!
much love and prayers,
Allison

oh my goodness it is a small world! I was talking with Peter Graham andthen his dad and mum came downstairs and were talking to me about music and stuff..and he asked me about the weather andthen he said his friend Dave(?) Smeaton went to Boston to visit his daughter..I allmost died off! I said to him "I know her! She is awesome!" And we started to talk about your dad and your grandfather! I didn't know that your dad plays cornet! He said that your dad is the best cornet player in the band and that they were playing a duet together! Oh my gosh! He said he is going to tell your dad..wow crazy right!
Have a blessed day!

Great pictures. There's nothing like OOB all to yourself. Makes a little "home-away-from-home-sick"!
